
We recently concluded our 2022 Management Committee Elections, and we are glad to announce that we now have new members in our Management Board.
It was an exciting process for the association’s members as they practised their right to vote.
The elections began at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 15th of March 2022, and closed at 12:00 p.m.
We had a voter turn out of 25 voters from the association’s membership.
Here are the new management committee members of the association!
Anne Lawi, Vice-Chairperson
She is the Managing Director at Pangea Trust. She is also a founding trustee and a board member at Pangea Trust the foundation arm of the organization where she works for and she also sits in more than 5 companies’ boards such as World Animal Protection and Growth Coach international supporting growth Women of SMEs, IMPACC and Makapads .
Ivy Syovata, Assistant Secretary
She is the Founder of Incubator Nest and a certified Growth Wheel Business Advisor. She is a passionate ignitor with over 15 years of experience in Business intra-partnership, advisory, development, management and entrepreneurship.
Isaiah Gichana, Treasurer
He is the Finance and Business Consultant at Africa Bio-Energy. He has been a board member with Action Rich investments company, Emerald housing SACCO among other board roles in addition to being engaged in financial consultancy and entrepreneur support and training.
Derrick Mugasia, Assistant Treasurer
He is the Innovation Lab Coordinator (I.O.Me005) at Red Cross Society, his mission is to unite all of us within the innovation and startup ecosystem through accountability and transparency.
Cynthia Ireri, Engagement Advisor 1
She is the Relationship Manager at Wylde International. She has successfully maintained a portfolio of 200 partners from different sectors namely: corporate, financial institutions, insurance agencies, community groups, financiers, NGOs, Government agencies, BSOs and private companies.
Robert Mrima, Engagement Advisor 2
He is the Finance and Research Director at Swahili Pot Hub in Mombasa. He is also the founder of Utafiti Data Hub. He looks forward to working with ASSEK as the engagement advisor using his communication and negotiation skills.
David Cherboryot, Capacity Building Advisor 2
He is currently the Director of Entrepreneurship Centres – Africa with E4Impact Foundation where his key role is to provide strategic leadership for the Centres in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Tunisia and Cameroon. He possesses over 15 + years of wealth of experience in building and scaling entrepreneurship programs across 10+ African countries and building strategic partnerships.
Rachel Ndungu, Policy Advisor 2
She is the Founder and CEO of Biashara Africa. She previously served as the Board of Director and ICT Committee Chair for the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network, leading ICT policies and innovations supporting women’s economic empowerment.
