Celebrating 5 years of Ecosystem Building and Nurturing in Kenya and beyond!

As the membership has grown over time, the Association of Startup and SMEs Enablers of Kenya (ASSEK) would like to appreciate and recognize the journey it has gone through. Reaching the 5-year mark with still a mandate to support the larger entrepreneurship ecosystem, it is time to have a gathering to invite key stakeholders that have provided both financial and non-financial support to support the set up and growth of the Association over time.

Over the last 13 years since the inception of the first innovation hub in Kenya, the innovation space has grown tremendously with the increased awareness of the innovation ecosystem both in the public and private sector and the growth of new enterprises that have a sector deep focus utilizing technology as an enabler for growth and impact such as FinTech, AgriTech, MedTech amongst others.

With the formation of ASSEK in 2018, the initial mandate of the Association to bring together all innovation hubs, Entrepreneur Support Organizations and Diverse Enablers within the country has been achieved to have a collective voice within the Startup Ecosystem.
