Our partnership project with WIDU is still ongoing, the collaboration which was begun last year in November 2020, has been able to see 38 Coaching Visits conducted so far with the project aiming to accomplish 300 coaching visits by the end of the 6 months.

As part of managing the program, the ASSEK secretariat seeks to do 3 site visits in 3 different parts of the country in 3 different sectors and get success stories from the entrepreneurs to record the successes of the project.

The first site visit was done on the 19th of February in Banana Limuru Kenya. The entrepreneur’s project was in greenhouse farming where he grows red capsicum. He had applied for a Corona Business grant and had already received the funds which enabled him to improve his already existing project. This being his first season, he has been able to harvest 420kgs every Monday, more than double what his closest competitor harvests. In addition, to this, the ASSEK team also conducted another site visit with one of the entrepreneurs in Kikuyu on the 1st of April 2021. The entrepreneur’s project is in video and multimedia production.
